It’s time to change yourself!

Well, my friend, we’ve all been there. That’s the real story of a former chubby girl who’s spent way too long complaining about her body instead of doing something about it. Things have changed dramatically when I went off to Canadá for a couple of months. With nothing other than junk food to eat, I ended up gaining a few pounds, and by the time I got back, I wouldn’t even know how to go on a healthy diet anymore.

That’s when I had my wake up call: my body fat was about 32%, I had these weird and gross cellulite and stretch marks, so basically I was overweight. That’s what this article is about: sharing a true narrative of how I’ve lost over 10 kilos in less than 3 months. Listen closely and follow these advices if you want to change not only your weight, but your entire lifestyle and perspectives about eating habits.

The first place you need to go is to a good and reliable nutritionist. Don’t you dear trying to change your eating habits by yourself, especially if you don’t have much knowledge about proteins, carbs, and the correct amount of nutrients you need to ingest daily in order to be healthy and lose weight at the same time. Only a professional will be able to analyze your case, based on your weight and height, in oder to create the perfect diet for you to follow.

And about that: follow your diet strictly, at least over the week. It’s also very important that you don’t decide to stop eating from night to day and starve all the time, craving for food. If you do that, your metabolism will fall and therefore spend less energy. The ideal would be eating every three hours, but make sure you stick to what your nutritionist recommends you.

Another crucial thing in the losing weight process is definitely working out as much as you can. If you have a treadmill at home, try dedicating 30 minutes of your day exercising. If it’s too much for you, start with 20 minutes and increase the speed and time from week to week. Soon you’ll get used to this routine, and even better: your body will miss the workout if you skip it. It’s also very fun to run on the street early in the morning. If you get used to waking up early and go jogging for a couple of hours, your entire day will be very productive and you won’t feel so tired or stressed out.

If you’re willing to put on some money and sign up for a membership at the gym, good for you! 3 times a week working out and lifting some weights will not only increase your metabolism, but also diminish your body fat, making you lose weight in the healthiest way. Not to mention that exercising regularly releases endorphin, which makes you happy and willing to go through the day.

With the combination of eating correctly and working out hard, there’s no way you can’t get in shape really fast. The hardest part is always taking the first step, but if you’re still wondering wether you should give it a try or not, think about the summer and how wonderfull you’ll look wearing those bikinis at the beach. And when they ask you what you done, you can just say: I took care of it, my dear. It’s not easy and you’ll feel like giving up every single day, but the fact that you’re reconstructing and shaping your body with so much devotion and attention will speak louder.

You’ll be proud of how far you’ve gone, specially when you start getting complements from those who never before had noticed who beautiful you are. So, without further ado, shall we?
